Service Description

The Vishwa Shanti Stupa in Vaishali, Bihar, enshrines the ashes of Lord Buddha and was erected to create "The pure Land" on the earth. After seeing the tragedy of atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagaski of Japan, Nichidatsu Fuji Guruji initiated the construction of the stupa. Vaishali is the place where Buddha preached his last sermon before his Nirvana. It is a popular and sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Inside the stupa the holy ashes of Lord Buddha are mixed with earth, a piece of conch, pieces of beads, a thin golden leaf and a copper punch-marked coin.
