Lord Buddha spent many years in Rajgir teaching his disciples about Dharma, and that is one of the reasons why this place has become a famous destination for Buddhists. Lord Mahavira also spent time in Rajgir. Famous attractions include the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, the Japanese Temple, the Bimbisara's Jail, the Venuvana Garden and the Swarn Bhandar Cave. Nalanda, the ancient monastic university, was a center of learning from the 5th century to 1200 CE and has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides the university you will also see the Nalanda Stupa, the Hieun Tsang Memorial and the Nalanda museum. Join our tour to experience the rich cultural history of these places.
